Polemonium boreale ‘Heavenly Habit’ (Northern Jacob’s Ladder) is a compact, clump-forming perennial forming a low, bushy mound of fern-like, glossy green leaves. In summer, it is smothered with a profusion of lightly-scented, violet-blue flowers borne atop upright stems. Blooming over a long season, the delicate starry flowers are adorned with a yellow halo and a white eye. The pinnately compound leaves retain their fresh green color throughout the season. Excellent for edging, rock gardens, or in woodland settings.
