Low growing and durable, Veronica 'Waterperry Blue' (Speedwell) is a vigorous perennial forming a dense carpet of tiny, dark-veined, lavender-blue flowers borne on creeping stems from late spring to early summer. The ravishing flowers may rebloom intermittently throughout the summer. Even when not smothered with flowers, this Speedwell remains attractive thanks to its lush foliage of small, shiny, deep green leaves tinged with burgundy and copper overtones. Dense enough to suppress weeds, it is perfect for the rock garden, for edging along borders or pathways, or as a ground cover. Also, ideal for planting between flagstones.
