Old German is a large tomato with yellow and red marbled flesh, fruity flavor and smooth texture. It originated from the Mennonite area of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia in the 1800s. The 2 pound, odd-shaped beefsteak fruits are both beautiful and taste great. I recommend this heirloom as one of the best slicing tomatoes on the market.
