Hosta ‘Paradigm’ (Plantain Lily) forms an attractive, dense mound of thick, widely oval, highly seersuckered and puckered, chartreuse green leaves turning golden yellow as the season progresses. The satiny leaves are beautifully adorned with broad, blue-green margins. Funnel-shaped, pale lavender flowers appear in midsummer, rising on scapes 24 in. tall (60 cm). Fast-growing, this hosta cultivar is slug-resistant and tolerates morning sun in cooler climates.
