Ideal for small gardens, Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Pee Wee’ (Oak Leaf Hydrangea) is a compact, well-rounded deciduous shrub noted for its showy foliage and cone-shaped flowers. Blooming in early to mid-summer, this Oak Leaf Hydrangea boasts a profusion of dense, conical, upright flower panicles packed with large ray florets. Opening white, the blossoms take on delightful pink tinges as fall approaches. The lush foliage of deeply-lobed, oak-shaped, mid-green leaves, turns wine red as the nights grow cooler in the fall. Providing a long season of interest, Pee Wee is a great hydrangea for small spaces. Discovered by Richard Scott and Russell Blue of Alabama Nursery.
