
Smilacina racemosa, or False Solomon’s Seal, is a two-foot perennial with white flowers appearing in late spring to early summer, followed by red berries. The native perennial prefers shade to part sun and moist to dry soils. It grows best in loamy, organic-rich soil and prefers mesic to dry deciduous woodlands.
