First developed in Europe in 1805, this heirloom plant produces masses of 1.5-2 inch, pear-shaped fruits. They have a tangy, almost citrus flavor and are a great addition to any cooking effort adding flavor and color. Stake or cage to save space. Water deeply when dry and feed monthly.
